Our mission

We were pioneers in search optimization in the early 2000s. Today, we are bringing that same pioneering vision into a new era, with the ambition to become the leader in Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) and modern SEO.

Backed by over 26 years of experience, we blend proven search expertise with today’s most advanced strategies, technologies, and AI-driven insights. Our mission is simple: help your business get discovered, trusted, and recommended, whether customers are searching through Google, ChatGPT, or the next generation of AI-powered platforms.

Where this started

A version of search almost nobody remembers.

In the early 2000s, search visibility was won by understanding how a handful of engines read a page and by knowing which webmasters would link to what. There was no software that could do the second part. If you wanted a link from a publication, you wrote to a person and gave them a reason.

Everything about the surface has changed since. Directories died. Reciprocal links died. Article spinning died, then came back, then got penalised. Panda, Penguin, Hummingbird, mobile-first, helpful content, AI Overviews. We worked through all of it.

What did not change is that a reference from a credible source is worth something and a reference from a site nobody reads is worth nothing. Every algorithm update since 2003 has been an attempt to enforce that distinction more accurately.

The shift

What changed, and what deliberately did not.

The practice was built for a world where the goal was a position on a results page. That goal still exists, but it is no longer the only one. A growing share of commercial research now ends inside a generated answer that names two or three brands.

What carried over

  • Human outreach, written and sent by people
  • Publisher qualification before contact, not after
  • Editorial relevance as the first filter
  • One record per website, honestly maintained
  • Refusing to count a placement before it is live

What is new

  • Answer engine optimization as a separate discipline
  • AI visibility measured against a fixed prompt set
  • AI crawler readiness as part of technical scope
  • Share of voice inside generated answers
  • Reporting that separates search from AI rather than averaging them
Experience

Over 26 years of it.

Continuously, since the early 2000s. It covers search engine optimization, publisher and editorial relations, link acquisition, technical implementation and now answer engine work.

The practical value of it is pattern recognition. When a tactic starts circulating that looks like something that got sites penalised in 2012, somebody here remembers 2012.

What that covers

  • Organic search strategy and on-page optimization
  • Publisher outreach and editorial relationships
  • Link acquisition, reclamation and digital PR
  • Technical search readiness and indexation
  • Answer engine optimization and AI visibility measurement
  • Enterprise and agency-side programme management

Two decades of qualifying publishers by hand is why people, not software, decide who we approach.

Plenty of providers arrived at human-led outreach recently, as a reaction to how much automated email is now being sent. We never left it. The difference we aim for shows up in the places that are hard to fake: which publishers answer, how fast, and whether they answer again next quarter.

What the engagement covers. The contracted work, the qualification standards we agree with you, transparent reporting and verified placements. Search rankings and AI citations are controlled by external platforms and are outside the control of any provider, including us.

Ask us about the old days if you like.

More usefully, ask what we learned that still applies. The first conversation is about your priority pages and where your external authority is thin.
